Cargill: A Great Partner in Education
Center Point is happy to have Cargill as a Partner in Education! In an effort to support Chicopee Woods Elementary, Cargill has graciously “donated” staff to serve as Mentors. On Friday, August 26, 11 Cargill employees were trained to serve as Mentors for the entire 2011-2012 school year. Since then, 7 more Cargill volunteers have gone through the training. “We are thrilled to have Cargill as a Partner in Education and could not be happier about their commitment to our students by serving as Mentors. The kids really enjoy the one-on-one attention and the time they get with their Mentors,” states Leigh Caputo, Counselor at Chicopee Woods Elementary. “I feel so lucky that our school has this kind of support.”
Just think, if Center Point trained 10 volunteers from every participating Partner in Education we would easily have hundreds of new Mentors in our schools this year.
