Our counseling program has provided families in Hall County quality and affordable counseling services for the past 21 years. Counseling services are available to children, adolescents, individuals, couples, groups, and families. Our counselors offer personal assistance with issues such as mild depression, self-esteem, divorce recovery, anger management, grief and loss, relationship and family concerns, anxiety, personal direction, and other areas. Therapy is usually short-term, though longer comprehensive treatment is offered when necessary. Our goal is to offer emotional support and equip individuals, families, and students with the tools they need to successfully move through life.
The Center has licensed counselors on staff. Our counselors maintain professional licensure, attend continuing education programs, and receive peer professional supervision. Our licensed counseling fees are surprisingly affordable when compared to other professional agencies, and our intern counseling fees are sliding scale, based upon income and/or need.
We have five Masters Level interns from the University of Georgia School of Social Work, North Georgia College and State University Community Counseling Program, Brenau College, Psychological Studies Institute, and Argosy University School of Professional Psychology working with us. These interns are carefully selected and are supervised by a licensed clinical social worker. Our interns receive on the job clinical training at the Center as well and in the Hall County and Gainesville City Schools.
